CLUTCH THE PEARLS

A cabaret of drag curiosities… the first Sunday of every month in San Francisco’s Mission District!

These are some of the posters I’ve made for Clutch the Pearls over the last five years. Much like the show itself, these posters are inspired by old vaudeville and cabaret posters from the early 20th century. Each poster is designed in response to that month’s theme as if they were another number in the show. Working through the lens of drag, I lean into drama, expression, and cultural reference to create exciting visual stories.

The photos all come from Clutch performances (shot by either Robbie Sweeney or @machinecollectingdata), and everything else– fonts, lettering, photo editing, color palette, composition, concept– is all me!
